We chose to stay in Hotel Aventree Busan during our first visit to Busan, the second biggest city in South Korea. The 3-star hotel is located just 5 minutes walk away from Jagalchi Station, which is really convenient to go anywhere in Busan.
Around the hotel there is a famous Jagalchi Fish Market where you can get the freshest seafood in the city. You can also find streets food just right across the hotel at night to satisfy your nighttime cravings.
The hotel is situated just above a small shopping mall. This makes it perfect for any shopping lovers. There are also several restaurants and eateries just a few minutes walk from the hotel. We had a really valuable and tasty Salmon don just across the streets from our hotel!
Our Check-In Experience
We arrived at the Hotel Aventree Busan slightly earlier than the check-in time at 2.00 PM. Fortunately, our room was already ready!
In case you are wondering, the hotel staff who served us at the counter was able to speak basic English and Chinese. As he might not be very fluent in English, he did not brief us through the amenities in the common areas that we can actually use.
The experience could be better if we were informed in the beginning when we arrived.
Hotel Aventree Busan: The Deluxe Twin Room
We booked the most basic Deluxe Twin Room for our two nights stay at Hotel Aventree Busan. The Deluxe Twin Room (22 sq.m) comes with a twin bed, long-table and a bathroom slightly bigger than the one I had at Hyatt Regency Montreal.
The workspace is just the right size for my friend to use her beauty products at night. The cable TV comes with several paid selections, which kept us quite entertained for both nights at the hotel.
As the hotel is surrounded by other high rise buildings, there is no view from the room. In fact, we are completely blocked by the air-conditioner ledges in the hotel.
The good news is if you are looking for a bathtub, the Deluxe Room surprisingly comes with one with the bathroom.
The bathroom amenities are pretty complete though personally do not really like the smell of the shampoo.
Swimming Pool & Gym: There is no swimming pool or gym in the facility.
Breakfast Buffet: The room comes with free breakfast buffet for two. We did not find that the breakfast is worth to pay for. Just in case you have to purchase an additional headcount for the food, we suggest venturing out of the hotel instead. There are very little food choices. If you go during the rush hour, you may have to wait for quite a long while before the popular food is topped up.
Hotel Aventree Busan, in our opinion, is good to stay for its location. We paid S$ 115/night for our room. This is slightly more expensive than the Airbnb room we were staying in Seoul. Since it is our first visit to Busan, it is also difficult for us to make any comparisons with other hotels in the same vicinity.
We did notice that most hotels in the city are located far away from the subway station. Furthermore, the hotel is built within the busy streets in Busan. Hence, it is actually a lot safer with many tourists and locals loitering around all day.
