Hotel Review: Ascott Raffles Place (CUTLER)

Hotel Review: Ascott Raffles Place (CUTLER)

written by riviolas December 30, 2017

Disclaimer: Ascott Raffles Place is actually a Service Apartment.

Ascott Raffles Place is strategically located in the heart of CBD. This is ideally the place you want to stay if your workplace is located in Singapore’s Central Business District. SGX,  KPMG Clubhouse, Ocean Financial Centre, OUE, Citibank are all around this area.

If you are a Foreigner coming to Singapore for a short business trip, we would recommend our local Hawker Center, Lau Pa Sat. If you have the time, do explore the lanes along Boon Tat Street and Amoy Street.

Ann Siang Road is where all the Pubs are. It’s slightly far so unless you don’t mind walking, get a cheap cab ride.  Grab is very trustworthy in Singapore!

Our Check-in Experience

The lounge was rather small but it looks posh. I might have a bias opinion because I love how warm lights lit up the place and how mirrors create spaciousness and reflect the lights around.

The receptionist’s service is hotel standard. While helping out with the procedure, we were told to chill at the lounge. Pretty normal.

Ascott Raffles Place: CUTLER

This service apartment (CUTLER) is a Designer’s Studio Suite on first sight. The Kitchen, Living and Bedroom are all in 1 area but they are all thoughtfully segmented. Although Ascott Raffles Place isn’t a hotel, the staffs prepared for us some anniversary surprise. It’s not my first time enjoying the perks of Anniversary surprise but hey, they give more than what hotels give!

The Glass Panel separates the Bathtub area and the cozy living area. You probably might be able to watch some TV while soaking in the bathtub if you aren’t as short as me.

Overview of room

The Kitchen

Now, the most useful part you can get from a Service Apartment, the well-equipped Kitchen!!! Oven? Dishwasher? Washing Machines? Utensils? Yeap, anything that are not perishable products are all in the kitchen!

The Living area

This spacious desk has many power plugs! There are some free magazines to read and 1 about Ascott Service Apartments all around the world. The controllers are here too. They use Bose Sound System.

Spacious desk

Some papers, pen and power plugs that you may need

This is the “Living Area”. Modern side table with our Anniversary surprise. You can chill and watch Tv here. There are 2 sets of TV! 1 here and 1 at the bed area. Sounds like what couch potato will like!

This is the sofa area beside the desk. There was complimentary wine and chocolates for us.

You can see the beautiful marble bathroom from behind the sofa.

The Bathroom

I’m so sorry, I only have 1 photo here to prove my point. The bathroom looks so grand that 5-star hotels without bathroom looking like this should do some reflection on their own! The bathroom separates the dry and wet area. Fully tiled marble walls and floors.

The best thing for me? L’Occitane products!!! Isn’t this value for money? This is no wonder their slogan on Google: Alternative to 5 Star Hotels Singapore | Ascott Raffles Place
